Yummy in my Tummy

Ssam! 쌈!

If you read some of my previous posts, you’ll know that I have developed a love of Korean food. Recently I found that one of the supermarkets near me sells Korean gochujang / 고주장. Young Ah, (my girlfriend) taught me how to cook some basic and common Korean meals like chaeyukbokembap / 체육복음밥 *I think*. So, I bought the “jang” at once and went home to test my culinary skills.

It really was simple to make! All you need to do it add the jang to the meat, add a little soya sauce and sesame oil. Then you fry the meat gently.

Young Ah always makes rice to go with this salty dish. But instead of rice, I prepared some salad and Japanese plum leaves. I wrapped the smaller plum leaf inside of the large salad leaf and put a little kimchi on top then added the fried meat. You then wrap up the whole thing and you know what happens next!

Ahhhh…Superfection! ^_^

About jingtian
'm a British born Chinese with a deep interest in East Asia. I enjoy relaxing. There is nothing better than being relaxed and being able to plan a whole day or two without any outside influences! However, I also enjoy challenges and am constantly striving to gain new skills and knowledge. I hope to become fluent in Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese. I consider myself proficient in Japanese! Randomly, I consider it a great honour when I hear that other people call me a "friend". Awwww! ^_^ You see? Aren't I nice?
